The statement sets down Bailey’s Heating Company Ltd.’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small.  Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them.

 Our business

We are a specialised heating and renewables company based in Bedfordshire. We were established in 2010 and became a limited company in 2015.

We work on behalf of a large Housing Association. We also have a large and loyal private customer base.

 Our supply chain

We have a strong relationship with a number of suppliers including Vaillant, Honeywell, Fernox and Grundfos. In addition, our supply chain also includes the outsourcing of our I.T activities and accounting to local companies.

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values, we operate in-line with the principles of responsible resourcing, including paying employees at the prevailing living wage.

 Our policies

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

In addition, the following policies set down our approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our operations. All policies are reviewed annually:

• Whistleblowing Policy - the Company encourages all its workers, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to its direct activities or its supply chains.
• Employee Code of Conduct - The Code of Conduct sets down the actions and behaviour expected of employees when representing the Company.
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy - The Company’s CSR policy summarises how we manage our environmental impacts and how we work responsibly with suppliers and local communities.

Training

To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, we provide relevant training to all our employees.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The Management Team endorses this policy statement and is fully committed to its implementation.
